The Kyrö distillery in Finland was dreamed up by five friends who loved to drink rye whiskey, and who were in the sauna one day discussing their desire to distil their own rye spirits. How very Finnish! There are plentiful rye crops in Finland, and Kyrö was set up to make the best spirits possible from this local resource. They had the idea not just to make whiskey, but also to use the rye to make gin - and that's where Napue was born.

Napue gin is made to reflect the flavours of Finland. The scent of a Finnish meadow is captured in its botanicals - meadowsweet, sea-buckthorn, cranberries, and birch leaves. The rye gives a little touch of heat and spice to the mix, blending with the herbal character. It is full-bodied and sweet, and makes an amazing Gin and Tonic. Napue was even named the best gin for Gin and Tonic in the world at the International Wine and Spirits Competition in 2015. Treat yourself to this Finnish specialty!
