Launched in tribute to Taylor's pioneering spirit, this limited release is set to be treasured among Taylor’s enthusiasts and will undoubtedly build upon Taylor’s legendary collectors status.

This Tawny Port is beautifully mature and complex nose, full of evocative, subtle nuances. Aromas of plum, fig and sultana blend with a mellow redolence of marzipan and butterscotch.

Hints of cigar box, cedarwood and leather add an exotic dimension to the nose. The wine is seductively round and smooth with discreet, beautifully integrated tannins adding an attractive dryness and grip.

The wine is full of rich, fruit cake flavours with some fresh plum character emerging on the long finish.

Taylor`s launches a limited edition of a Reserve Tawny Port to pay homage to its long history of pioneering, passion and heritage.

The bottle is based on a unique historical English-shaped flask from the first half of the 18th century (around 1720 and 1750). The design incorporates a "4XX" symbol recreation, based on a unique late 17th century sealed bottle first made at about the same time as the foundation of Taylor`s in 1692. It is the earliest example of an intact bottle bearing the merchant`s mark - the "4xx" symbol still used as the Taylor`s trademark to this day. 

This Reserve Tawny Port was created exclusively for this limited edition. It was carefully blended from the finest wood aged Ports specially selected from extensive Aged Tawny reserves maturing in Taylor’s lodges in Vila Nova de Gaia. It has the smoothness and rich, mellow flavour which are the hallmarks of an Aged Tawny Port. With its harmony and balance, it is a fine example of the blender’s skill and owes its intensity and finesse to long ageing in seasoned oak casks
